Create an Artwork That Is Uniquely Yours
I create original, palette-knife artworks for individuals who want something deeply personal, meaningful, and designed with intention. My work is for those who value emotional connection, texture, movement, and a sense of being drawn into the canvas. Each piece is crafted to evoke feeling, whether that is calm, joy, nostalgia, or a sense of wonder, and to become a treasured part of your home for years to come.

A commissioned artwork allows you to collaborate with me to bring a vision to life. It is a chance to create something that reflects your story, your space, and the emotions you want your artwork to hold.
Why Commission an Artwork?
A commission is more than a painting - it is an experience.

Emotional significance: Your artwork is created with your preferences, memories, and intentions in mind. It becomes a piece that resonates with you on a personal level. We partner to ensure it is:

Designed for your space: Whether it is a statement piece for an entryway or a calming presence for a bedroom, the artwork is tailored to the scale, palette, and atmosphere you want to create.

A collaborative journey: You are part of the creative process, with the opportunity to shape the direction and feel of the final piece.

A one-of-a-kind original: No two artworks are ever the same. Even when I recreate a previously sold piece, it is re-imagined with fresh layers, new energy, and intentional variation.
What I Can Create
Original palette-knife artworks on canvas

Reimagined versions of my existing pieces in new sizes or colour balances

Large-scale feature works for architectural or statement spaces

I paint exclusively with acrylics, allowing me to work with discipline and intention. Each section must be completed within about 20 minutes before the paint settles, resulting in rich, textural layers that cannot be reworked — every stroke is deliberate.
Referral Appreciation
Clients who refer someone who proceeds with a commission receive a 10% discount on their next artworks.
How the Process Works
1. Scoping Call – We discuss your vision, colours, size, and inspiration.

2. Agreement – We confirm details, pricing, and timelines.

3. Priority Scheduling – Your artwork is booked into my studio calendar.

4. Creation – I paint with intention and keep you updated as much or as little as you prefer.

5. Delivery – You arrange transport through a trusted art logistics carrier I can recommend.

6. Arrival – Once delivered, I check in to ensure everything is perfect.

Most commissions take 3–4 weeks, depending on size and drying time.
If You are Unsure
You do not need a fully formed idea. Many clients begin with a feeling, a colour palette, or a favourite artwork of mine. I guide you through the process and ensure you feel supported at every step.

The video shows an example of a smaller artwork re-created in a larger size, demonstrating my intentional, layered palette-knife technique.

I am privileged to love what I do and would be delighted to create something special for you.
“Working with Mel was an absolute pleasure. She created a beautiful custom artwork for me based on one of her existing pieces and made the entire process effortless from start to finish.

Mel clearly communicated and engaged with me to truly bring my vision to life with care and creativity.

She has exceptional attention to detail. I couldn’t be happier with the final piece and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented and professional artist.

Thank you, Mel!”
