From the Tasman Trails Exhibit.
On the way to the lavender farm, we stumble on the shack. The inspiration behind this painting is the dormant frangipani waiting to bloom. An emersion of ocean meets land as we felt the Southern Ocean breeze wrap around us, and the clouds gather. The earth smelt of Australian Coastal Springtime, combination of ocean spray and soft rain. A celebration of Spring as the coastal flora demanded their space on the canvas.
